Gear up 4 Good
After 2 successful book donation drives, we hosted a sports equipment drive at the South Mumbai Winter Sports Championship on 27th October and 3rd November 2024.
The “Gear Up 4 Good” campaign/event was an outreach programme to collect sports equipment to be donated to the Navdivyang foundation which enhances the lives of neurodivergent children. These donations enable marginalised children to better their quality of life by building their confidence as they increase their mobility, for the goal of helping them retain more information as well as allowing them to become self-dependent in the future through the means of knowledge.
This campaign goes hand-in-hand with the foundation’s idea that one has to be strong physically and mentally for complete enrichment, thus giving rise to our motto for the challenge “from body to mind.” We are asking for your generosity and support by donating strength training equipment, agility and coordination building sources, safety and precautionary equipment.
The #playitforward challenge was an additional component to promote the campaign. This was conducted on the day-off to incentivize more participation and friendly competition between teams. All teams competed by showcasing their passion for a particular sport. Each participant has to donate a piece of sports equipment to be part of the #playitforward challenge. The participants’ talents were recorded and posted on our social media.
